94FB5A70-5F57-4D41-AB5C-8DFA348E42D6_1_105_cI was born October 28, 1985. I spent my entire childhood in Andrews, TX. We moved one time when I was around 4, we moved from outside of town to in town. My parents still live in the house I grew up in. I have one younger brother who also lives in Andrews with his family.

Growing up, my was the third generation of our family to work in oil and my mom worked at my home church, First Baptist Church, Andrews. Obviously that means I grew up in church. I participated in whatever activities and Bible studies were available for a kid/student my age. My personal walk began when I accepted Christ at the age of 9. I remember vividly lying in bed and realizing that I was sinner who needed a savior. I was also baptized at 9 in my home church.

During high school, between my junior & senior years, I was accepted a call to serve the church in vocational ministry. I pursued that call to Dallas Baptist University where I majored in Biblical Studies. After graduation I moved to Fort Worth and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary where I received my Advanced Master of Divinity.

During seminary I worked in the Discipleship Ministry at FBC Euless, TX for several years. I accepted my first full time position in 2010 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas, TX (now Lake Pointe, White Rock Campus). I followed God’s call in 2014 to FBC Monahans. I had planned to stay in DFW but God had other plans. I had no desire to return to the Permian Basin, but God has blessed my time in the Permian tremendously. I have grown both personally and professionally while serving God in the area. After 6 years in Monahans, God led to FBC Midland where I currently serve.

I love the church! I have no idea where God will take me in the years to come, but I know that it will involve serving the church. I look forward to seeing what God has in store. Regardless of what it is, I hope to answer as Mary did in Luke 1:38 “And Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.’” Whatever God I asks, I pray for the courage to answer, “I am your servant.”

I have a variety of hobbies that I enjoy. I enjoy video games and board games with friends. I shoot whenever I get the chance. I build the occasional lego set. And I love music. I play the guitar and the piano and I love to sing.
